Goodbye 757, Hello 703!
Finally, after a long day of packing, unpacking, more unpacking, running all around Fairfax via GPS, and even more unpacking, Allison, Katy, Misha and I are all moved into our beautiful quad in Harrison Hall! Did I mention all of the unpacking? After a long night of teary good-byes I was ready to cut the 12-year long Williamsburg chord and head to my new home in Fairfax-or so I thought. I woke up to a nauseating feeling in my stomach that would not go away so of course one thing led to another and who would get sick 20 minutes before they left for college? me. After a rush to get everything into the car and leave before I got sick again, we grabbed an emergency bowl and hit the road! Of course, all my paranoid-self could think about was, "What if I don't stop, what if it's dehydration, some freak disease, I can't be rushed to Urgent Care on my way to move-in day and miss it all! Because, of course, that would happen to me. Luckily, everything turned around and I felt great! I guess I didn't know how nervous I really was. After hours and hours of 4 sets of parents moving their 4 teenage daughters into a dorm room while trying to accommodate each girl's need, everyone was exhausted! And all the while I was dreading the biggest good-bye of them all, with my parents. All I have to say is I LOVE YOU MOM AND DAD! I miss you guys already but I'll see you before you know it and to please take care of Charlie for me :) To be honest, this kind of feels like a long version of summer camp but I know it won't be long before it quickly turns into my home away from home. I know the best is yet to come. :)
